Note:  Most of these articles in the Gondolier Sun had a local theme to them and were done in a tongue-in-cheek style.  Many have elicited complimentary or critical letters to the editor...especially "Venice...As This Maverick Sees It."  That one was meant to be pure satire.  Some residents took it much too literally and were ready to run me out of town.

I'm starting a new series of articles for my column in the Venice Gondolier Sun.  The editor's plan is to run these every month or so throughout the 2009-2010 school year.  They are inspired by For Parents Only:
